What is ISPM 15?

Where such services are available for Method 1, Pinnacle can arrange for loaded containers to be weighed at the origin port or an approved weighing facility. Otherwise the shipper must provide the VGM under Method 2.

SOLAS VGM – Update to solutions
Are you aware of the new SOLAS regulations?
New regulation is effective July 1, 2016.
Most major UK ports have confirmed they are offering container weighing services for Method 1.
For Method 1, Pinnacle is now fully registered with the relevant Port Community Service Providers to request this on your behalf.

SOLAS – Important notice for shippers and exporters
Are you aware of SOLAS Container Weight Verification Rules affecting shippers worldwide?
Adopted by the IMO the International Maritime Organisation, SOLAS is the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea.
The accurate weight of loaded containers is not always given by shippers which has led to accidents in the past and continues to threaten safety.
An amendment to SOLAS was passed by the IMO in November 2014 and the new regulation is effective July 1, 2016.
